About Dr. Balraj Kumar Bhatnagar
Dr. Balraj Bhatnagar is the son of Late Dr. Rajendra Kumar, a famous and leading homeopath of Delhi. After qualifying in medicine from Calcutta, he proceeded to United Kingdom where he was the first Indian to fight on behalf of Indian Homeopaths for admission to D.F.H. and L.M. courses and get awarded these diplomas, thus opening the doors for other Homeopaths to do these courses.
During his 3 years stay in Europe, he worked with world famous Homeopaths as Late Dr. Sir John Weir, Late Dr. Paterson, Late Dr. Boyd, Late Dr. Otto Leisser, Dr. Foubrster, Dr. Marjorie Blackie ( ex-Physician to Queen Elizabeth of England), etc. Dr. Balraj Bhatnagar also represented India in International Homeopathic Congress at Lausanne (Switzerland) in 1952.
While in Europe, Dr. Balraj Bhatnagar visited a number of Homeopathic Hospitals in Glasgow, London, Paris, Stuttgart (Germany), etc. to study and gain first hand knowledge of their functioning.
He had been a very popular lecturer since 1960 taking D.H.S. classes teaching various subjects, obstetrics, and Gynecology being his speciality. He had also been the examiner of the Delhi Homeopathic Board for a number of years.
He served Nehru Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital from its very inception till 1975. As head of the Institution and as the founder Principal, he worked very hard to make it a model Institute in India. The present Nehru Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital bears testimony to his hard and selfless work and devotion to duty.

His Work
He has presented many papers on various medical topics in Seminars and scientific meetings of various associations and is also the author of the ‘Notes on obstetrics with Hints on Homeopathic Drugs’ which has been very popular with students.

- Ischemic Diseases of the Heart, its prevention & Homeopathic treatment.
- Homeopathic aspects of some of the current problems in Medical practice.
- Basic Principles of Homeopathy (published in Sunday Standard of 22nd October 1967).
- Validity of Homeopathy (published in Patriot of 22nd October 1967).
He also presented programs on Homeopathy on Radios and Televisions.

Dr. Balraj Kumar Bhatnagar Family & Personal Life

Dr. Balraj Kumar Bhatnagar was the son of Dr. Rajendra Kumar Bhatnagar who also was a renowned Homeopathic doctor and was awarded by the President of India for his marvels in his field. Dr. Rajendra Kumar Bhatnagar’s prescriptions were also known as the jaadu ki pudia which in English means doses of magic as he was known to cure almost anything.
Dr. Balraj Kumar Bhatnagar married Dr. Nirmal Bhatnagar who also practiced in the field of homeopathy and the duo operated through their personal clinic for decades. Dr. Balraj Bhatnagar and Dr. Nirmal Bhatnagar had two children, an older son and a younger daughter named Madhavi Bhatnagar.
